Army Biomed Techs Train with General Electric to Enhance Medical Readiness
These Army Reserve Biomedical Equipment Specialists, having the military occupational specialty of 68A, are students in the GE Healthcare Institute Externship program. Here they discuss a training problem on October 23, 2019. Pictured left to right are Spc. Axel Cruzdiaz, Spc. Jessy Becerra, Sgt. David Travis, and an unnamed GE HCI instructor. The Soldiers are part of a class cohort currently in the first phase of an intensive ten month regiment. The program is designed to enhance the range of medical equipment they can install, maintain and trouble shoot. The equipment is used in Army medical centers and medical sites in the field. The extern Soldiers will take these skills back to their Army Reserve medical units and make a direct contribution to Army Reserve medical readiness. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class John Freese)
