Army Reserve Marksman Newsletter

By SFC John M. Buol Jr. ARMU

The Army Reserve Marksmanship Unit has restarted Army Reserve Marksman, a quarterly newsletter devoted to all facets of small arms training for Soldiers that is available for download at http://www.usar.army.mil/ARM

Publication of Army Reserve Marksman is directed by Army Regulation 140-1 and was previously a print publication. Making it available as a digital download in Portable Document Format (.pdf) allows the publication to devote more space to information concerning marksmanship training and competition and to ensure distribution to all USAR units, appropriate agencies and individuals, or anyone else interested in USAR small arms training and competition programs while saving money.

"We're happy to see the Army Reserve restore Army Reserve Marksman and are proud to publish it," said Sgt. Maj. James Mauer of the Army Reserve Marksmanship Team. "The editor we selected has been a long-time competitor and instructor for our shooting teams, is currently our Public Affairs and Postal Match Program manager, and works as an editor in his civilian job."

The initial issues starting release in Fiscal Year 2019 cover the changes and improvements in Army small arms training doctrine as directed by the Training Circulars and are available for download now at http://www.usar.army.mil/ARM
