388th CBRN Company shows no signs of complacency

The 388th Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Company show no signs of complacency during a Mass Casualty Decontamination training event during Battle Assembly at Fort McCoy and Volk Field, Wis., May 8-10. CBRN Soldiers responded to a training scenario incident, coordinate with local and federal officials, contain the situation, identify the chemicals or toxins, all while safely evacuating and treating the effected population. The 388th CBRN Company, headquartered in Junction city, Wis., is in the second phase of a multi-year mission to support the Department of Homeland Security. Army North instructors continue to provide  388th Soldiers with hands on training, equipment, and experience to assist military and civil authorities in the event of a natural disaster, chemical emergency, or terrorist attack within the United States.

88th RSC hosts first Army Reserve FLMNET course

Marcus Jackson, a wheeled vehicle mechanic for the 88th Regional Support Command, uses artificial lighting as he disassembles the Height Management System of a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, Reconnaissance Vehicle (NBCRV) Stryker, during Field Level Maintenance New Equipment Training (FLMNET), May 8, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The training is being taken by both 88th RSC civilian mechanics and Soldiers of the 349th and 355th Chemical Companies, both of whom will be fielding the NBCRVs.  The training is taking place April 24-May 12, at Equipment Concentration Site 10, JBLM and is being hosted by the 88th Regional Support Command. It is the first time FLMNET has been taught in the Army Reserve.
