Command Sergeant Major Kristy Hawkins entered the United States Marine Corps on Aug 28, 1989. She completed her boot camp at Parris Island, SC and attended Advanced Individual Training at Camp Lejeune, NC and served on active duty until August 1993. On March 15, 2000, CSM Hawkins enlisted into the United States Army Reserve. She completed 91B Combat Medic Primary MOS and 42A Human Resource Specialist Secondary MOS. Her mobilizations include Fort Carson, CO and Ft. Bliss, TX in support of Operation Noble Eagle / Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
She has served in a variety of leadership positions in the Army that include Platoon Sergeant Observer Controller Trainer, Senior Human Resources NCO, Healthcare NCO, Senior Clinical NCO, and since 2018 as Command Sergeant Major.
