Brig. Gen. Vivek Kshetrapal

Commanding General, 364th ESC

Brig. Gen. Vivek Kshetrapal assumed command of the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC) on June 2, 2023.  

Headquartered in Marysville, Washington, the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC) is a subordinate command of the 79th Theater Sustainment Command, (TSC), located in Los Alamitos, California.  The 364th ESC includes two Regional Support Groups, one Sustainment Brigades and one Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary).  The 364th ESC comprises of more than 40 units and spans seven states across two time-zones in the northwestern portion of the United States.  There are approximately 4,000 Soldiers in the command.  Prior to becoming the 364th ESC Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Kshetrapal commanded the 655th Regional Support Group (RSG).

Brig. Gen. Kshetrapal received his commission as a Military Police Officer from the ROTC program at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1999.

He graduated from the Military Police Officer Basic and Advanced courses, Senior Transportation Officer Qualification Course, the Support Operations Course, Advanced Operations Course and Intermediate Level Education Course, and the U.S Army War College.
Before his assignment as the 364th ESC commanding general, Brig. Gen. Kshetrapal served as the Commander of the 655th Regional Support Group (RSG).

Previous non-command assignments include Deputy G4, U.S Army Corp of Engineers, assessments officer with the Joint Staff J6, Deputy G3 94th Training Division, Executive Officer 275th CSSB, Internal Review Auditor 94th Training Division, S3 1/323 Drill Sergeant Battalion, and Platoon Leader 805th Military Police Company.

Brig. Gen. Kshetrapal's command assignments include 24-months as the Group Commander of the 655th Regional Support Group, 24-months as Battalion Commander for the 535th Military Police Battalion, and 35-months as the HHC Commander for the 2/518th Reception Battalion.

Brig. Gen. Kshetrapal holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, master’s degree in strategic studies from the US Army War College, and an undergraduate degree in history from the University of North Carolina. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Armed Forces Service Medal.

Brig. Gen. Kshetrapal resides in Moseley, Virginia with his wife Marian and their dog, Sammy.
