SGM Carl J Morehouse, a native of Mariposa, CA, joined the active duty military on 30 January 1979, attending One Station Unit Training as a Combat Engineer (12B) Fort Leonard Wood, MO. SGM Morehouse was then assigned to the 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Riley, KS. SGM Morehouse then had a 10 year break in service, spending time in the Army Reserve and the National Guard.
SGM Morehouse came back onto Active Duty as an AGR Soldier in 1997 serving as the Ammunition Manager of the 70th RRC, Seattle, WA; Range Inspector at Fort Hunter-Liggett, CA; Detailed Recruiter in Hays, KS; Operations NCO for the 479th Engineer Battalion, Fort Drum, NY; 1SG NCO Academy, Ft Lewis, WA; Operations NCO for the 411th Engineer Battalion, Fort Shafter, HI; Operations SGM, 926th Engineer Brigade, Montgomery, AL, Quality Assurance Sergeant Major for MSCoE. Currently serving as the Deputy Commandant at the NCO Academy Fort Dix.
