Army Reserve Ambassador Burchett, a retired Lieutenant Colonel, served in the Army for over 21 years in various assignments. His assignments included Platoon Leader, Company Commander (two companies), command of three hospital battalions, Medical Center Executive Officer and combat service in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. Additionally, he served as the commander of the Medical Recruiting Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Ambassador Burchett is a graduate of Morehead State University, A.B., History and Texas A&M University, M.Ed., Curriculum and Instruction. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University. He currently serves as the Regional Service to the Armed Forces Officer for the Tennessee Region of the American Red Cross.
