Army Reserve Ambassador Leslie Purser retired as a Major General with 37 years of service in the United States Army Reserve.  She commanded at various levels during her military career, including the 108th Training Command and the Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC).  She also served as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, Intelligence, U.S. Army Staff, Pentagon and the Deputy Chief, Army Reserve, Human Capital, Office of the Chief, Army Reserve, Pentagon.

As the Deputy Chief, Army Reserve, she was responsible for the establishment of the Human Capital Core Enterprise, with a focus on ensuring the right Soldier was placed in the right position at the right time.

Her military education includes the U.S. Army War College, the Maxwell School of Public Affairs (Fellow), General Officer Leadership Course and CAPSTONE.

She has a strong desire to continue to serve and support the mission and vision of the Army Reserve leadership.  She will focus on engaging community and military leaders, public speaking and educating various organizations about the value and mission of the Army Reserve.
