On February 5, 2022, Alabama ARA, Dr. Shane Lee, briefed the 3rd Medical Command (Direct Support) senior leadership in Peachtree City, Georgia. During the briefing, he covered several key talking points including: The impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the civilian work force, education and recruitment/retention of medical personnel, how the pandemic affects the strategic readiness of the U.S. government to face domestic and international health risks, the original concept and mission of the Army Reserve, and some of the challenges operational leaders face when training for war.
