FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. - It’s the first time that an Army Reserve Readiness Division has hosted and selected top-notch noncommissioned officers into the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Award (SAMA) program. The 63d Readiness Division accepted an immense responsibility of leading and hosting a competitive SAMA board on May 28, 2018. Exceptional noncommissioned officers compete for the honor of being selected and inducted into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC) by conducting an Army Physical Fitness test and weapons qualification, displaying their knowledge of drill and ceremony, taking an exam, writing an essay, and being questioned and evaluated by a board of sergeants major.
