Fort Hunter Liggett Soldiers Remember 9/11

FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. - Soldiers and civilians gathered at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, Sept. 11 in remembrance of the lives lost 17 years ago and to recognize three non-commissioned officers selected to be inducted into the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. The ceremony began with a moment of silence followed by drumbeats for every life lost. Afterward, Sgt. Maj. Stephen Haynes was recognized as an honorary inductee, while Sgt. 1st Class Francisco Matos, Jr. and Staff Sgt. Elizabeth A. Caffey were awarded with Army Commendation Medals for their selection into the club.
