U.S. military and Ghana Armed Forces provide medical care to civilians

YENDI, GHANA - U.S. Army Soldiers and medical providers from the 352nd Civil Affairs Command and soldiers and medical providers from the Ghana Armed Forces pose for a group photo in Yendi, Ghana, June 3, 2023 during a medical civic action program as part of exercise African Lion 2023 (AL23). The military medical professionals provided free screening and treatment to approximately 1,200 civilians from the local community. The program served as an opportunity for the partnered medical providers to build rapport and cultural awareness with the local community. Eighteen nations and approximately 8,000 personnel will participate in AL23, U.S. Africa Command's largest annual combined, joint exercise that will take place in Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia from May 13 – June 18, 2023.
