ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 85th Support Command pause for a photo with panel members during the command’s Women’s History Month observance at the headquarters, Mar. 4, 2018. Panel members included Brig. Gen. Kris Belanger, Commanding General, 85th Support Command; Karen Darch, Village President/Mayor of Barrington; Arlene Juracek, Village President/Mayor of Mount Prospect; and Mary Schmich, Columnist for the Chicago Tribune who participated in the panel to share their personal stories during the command’s Battle Assembly weekend training. The panel members shared their histories in the challenges and strengths that they faced while advancing in their careers, and they reflected on how processes have changed in time and how they persevered.
