FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Six U.S. Army Reserve Chinook crews from the 5-159th General Support Aviation Battalion, 244th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade, Army Reserve Aviation Command are transporting Soldiers from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division to the locations where their aircraft were temporarily relocated for protection and safety ahead of Hurricane Florence in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Sept. 18, 2018. ARAC has approximately 5,000 Soldiers, 583 Civilians and more than 190 aircraft in 12 states. It’s one-of-a-kind in the U.S. Army Reserve, providing air assault, air movement, aeromedical evacuation, and inter- and intra-theater transportation.
