Psychological Operations -- Lessons Learned

FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. - The last scenario of the psychological operations course at Fort Hunter Liggett, California was a town hall disrupted by angry villagers such as this “newspaper editor” shouting at the “police chief.” Soldiers learned how to encourage town leaders with solutions to quell the disruptions and build trust with the Americans. The 80th Training Command (TASS) conducts a month-long PSYOP course for Soldiers and Marines reclassifying their military occupational specialties.
