Greater New Orleans service members earn prestigious German military badge

BELLE CHASSE, La. - 190323-N-QV906-0309 BELLE CHASSE, La. (March 22, 2019) Servicemembers stationed in the greater New Orleans area take part in a 12K ruck march while attempting to qualify for the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency March 22. The German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency is one of several hundred foreign awards approved for wear on U.S. military uniforms. To qualify, participants are tested in their physical prowess, marksmanship skills, first aid, and knowledge of nuclear, biological and chemical gear.
