A new COVID-19 vaccine will be available to Soldiers as an alternative to the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccines, the Army recently announced...

The Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is now recommended for use in adults ages 18 and older.

Some facts about Novavax's COVID-19 vaccine:

  • 2 doses in the primary series, given 3–8 weeks apart
  • Found to reduce the risk of symptomatic COVID-19
