Ken Heaney current serves as the Command Executive Officer (CXO), 85th Support Command, Arlington Heights, IL.  Prior to his appointment in August 2009, he was the Supervisory Staff Administrator for the 353rd Engineer Group (Construction)(Inactivated), Oklahoma City, OK.
As the Command Executive Officer, Mr. Heaney provides executive oversight of Army Reserve military and civilian matters on a daily basis for units distributed throughout the western United States.  Mr. Heaney is a native of West Virginia, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Glenville State College.  He began his civil service career in 1986 after serving 3 years active duty in the U.S. Army. 
Mr. Heaney has served in key leadership positions for more than 9 years.  He began his career as a Unit Administrator with B Company, 463rd Engineer Battalion (Combat)(Heavy) in Weirton, WV then moved to C Company, 463rd Engineer Battalion (Combat )(Heavy) in Parkersburg, WV.  After 10 years as a Unit Administrator, he transferred to the 353rd Engineer Group (Construction) where he served as Staff Operations and Training Specialist and Supervisory Staff Administrator.

Mr. Heaney is also an Army Reserve Engineer Lieutenant Colonel.  His key assignments included:  Commander, 459th Engineer Company (Multi-Role Bridging); Adjutant and S4, 463rd Engineer Battalion (Combat)(Heavy); Assistant S3, S4 Officer, and Design Engineer, 353rd Engineer Group (Construction);  and previously the Assistant Operations Officer (Exercises) serving currently as the Plans Officer with the 416th Theater Engineer Command.
