Commander, 335th Signal Command (Theater)

Maj. Gen. Brock assumed command of the 335th Signal Command (Theater) in September of 2012. He was appointed Deputy Commanding General for the 335th Signal Command (Theater), June 5, 2011. In this role, he was responsible for executing the command’s dual mission of providing critical communications and information services in support of forces in Southwest Asia; and Homeland Defense operations as directed by the U.S. Army Reserve Command.

Maj. Gen. Brock has served in a variety of positions since his commissioning from The Citadel in 1980. He most recently served as the Commander, 335th Signal Command (Theater) (Forward) Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, the ARCENT G6 in Afghanistan, and as the commander of the 359th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, Ga.
 
His 30-year career includes a number of diverse Signal assignments in the 151st Signal Battalion, from platoon leader and company commander, to systems engineer officer and telecommunications signal officer. He served as Deputy Commander for the 228th Signal Brigade, Spartanburg, S.C. and mobilization officer for the State of S.C., as well as Director of Communications CJ6, Headquarters, Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan, in Kabul during Operation Enduring Freedom; and Chief of Staff, 335th Signal Command (Theater), East Point, Ga.
 
A graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, with a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Administration, Major General Brock’s military
education spans numerous military schools including completion of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and U.S. Army War College.
 
Among his military awards are the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (one oak leaf cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters).
 
In his civilian career, Maj. Gen. Brock serves as a Director for Rockwell Collins, a pioneer in the development and deployment of innovative communication and aviation electronics solutions for both commercial and government applications.
