Command Sgt. Maj. Rocci DeRezza is a native of Paducah, Ky. He entered the U.S. Army on March 28, 1982 and attended Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Knox, Ky.
 
His duty assignments include the 1st Armor Training Brigade, Fort Knox, Ky., 3rd Battalion, 398th Infantry Regiment, Paducah, Ky., U. S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy, Fort Knox, Ky., 25th Infantry Division, Al Kasik, Iraq, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Rabi’ah, Iraq, 342nd Quartermaster Battalion, Jackson, Tn., 3rd Brigade, 98th Division and 3rd Brigade, 95th Division, Lexington, Ky., and Detachment 62 NTM-A/10th Mountain Division, Kabul Military Training Center, Kabul, Afghanistan.
 
His duty positions include Squad Leader, Drill Sgt., Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sgt. Leader, Drill Sgt. School NCOIC, 1st Sgt., Military Transition Team NCOIC, Military Transition Team Leader, and Command Sgt. Maj.
 
His military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, First Sergeant Course, and United States Army Sergeants Majors Academy.
 
His military schooling includes Basic Airborne Course, United States Army Drill Sergeant School, Drill Sergeant Course Manager’s Course, Battalion Management Systems Course, M1A1 Tank Commander’s Course, Battalion/Brigade Pre-Command Course, and Combat Advisor Course.
 
His civilian education includes an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

DeRezza is retired from Teamsters Local 236 where he served as a business agent and president. He is married and has three children.
