​Command Sergeant Major David Davis assumed the responsibility of Division Command Sergeant Major, 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support), Fort Douglas, Utah on April 29, 2011 following his assignment as Command Sergeant Major, Headquarters, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.  He is the 807th Medical Command’s first Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Command Sergeant Major and the U.S. Army’s first AGR “Combat Medic” promoted directly to Command Sergeant Major from the rank of First Sergeant. 
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Command Sergeant Major Davis joined the active Army in September 1989 completing Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  He earned a Master of Public Health with honors from American Military University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Careers (Administration of Justice), from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.  
His military education and training includes all requisite Noncommissioned Officer Education System Courses, as well as the Army Force Management School Command Sergeant Major Force Management Course, Army Management Staff College Garrison Command Sergeants Major Course, Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute Leadership Team Awareness Course, Command and General Staff College Command Sergeants Major Course, United States Army Logistics Management College Risk Analysis Course, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 33 (earning honors), First Sergeant Course (earning honors), Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officer Course (Additional Skill Identifier 2S), Tactical Operations Noncommissioned Officer Course, Combat Medic Advance Skills Training Course, Advanced Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Course, Trauma AIMS Course, Army Training Requirements Reporting System (ATRRS) Operators Course, Company Trainers Course, and the Health Care Specialist (91B) ten-week training course.
Prior assignments include Headquarters, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico; 3rd Medical Command, Fort Gillem, Georgia; 6253rd U.S. Army Hospital, Mesa, Arizona; 4222rd U.S. Army Hospital, Mesa, Arizona; 1st Brigade, 85th Division (Exercise), Fort Sheridan, Illinois; and the 513th Military Intelligence Brigade, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
Command Sergeant Major Davis has multiple combat tours in support of military operations, most recently to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.   He has earned 33 U.S. Army Medals, two Foreign Service medals, and numerous service ribbons.
