Colonel Robert W. Rauchle

Colonel Robert W. Rauchle was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.  He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1986.  At the same time, COL Rauchle earned his commission through the Army ROTC program and was a Distinguished Military Graduate.  He earned his Master of Science degree in Human Resources from Chapman University in California.
 
Colonel Rauchle is a graduate of the Ordnance Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Combined Arms Services Staff School, the Support Operations Course, and the Command and General Staff Officer Course. 
 
Colonel Rauchle’s previous unit assignments during his twenty-two years of Active and Army Reserve service include:  Direct Support Platoon Leader, 864th Engineer Battalion, Fort Lewis, WA; Ground Support Platoon Leader, 542nd Maintenance Company, Fort Lewis, WA; Shop Officer, 542nd Maintenance Company, Fort Lewis, WA with duty in the Persian Gulf during Desert Shield/Storm; Materiel Management Officer, 260th Quartermaster Battalion, Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm; Executive Officer, 542nd Maintenance Company, Fort Lewis, WA; Since leaving active duty, Colonel Rauchle has served as assistant S-3, 521st Maintenance Battalion, Milwaukee, WI; Company Commander, 377th Maintenance Company, Manitowoc, WI; S-3, 521st Maintenance Battalion, Milwaukee, WI; Executive Officer, 521st Maintenance Battalion, Milwaukee, WI; assistant S-3 646th Area Support Group, Madison, WI; Director of Personnel & Administration, 646th Area Support Group, Madison, WI; and Director of Logistics, 646th Area Support Group, Madison, WI; Battalion Commander, 521st Maintenance Battalion, Milwaukee, WI . Deputy Commander of the 646th Area Support Group, Madison, WI., Support Plans Officer, Multi-national Security Transition Command-Iraq; Commander of the 646th Area Support Group, Madison, WI.; G4, 85th Support Command, Arlington Heights, IL; and is currently the Chief of Staff for the 85th Support Command in Arlington Heights, IL.
 
Colonel Rauchle’s awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal with oak leaf, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze star, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze stars, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon, Army Reserve Overseas Training Ribbon (3rd award), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Army Parachutist Badge, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.
 
In civilian life, Colonel Rauchle has worked in the fleet maintenance industry since leaving active duty.  He is currently the Fleet Manager for Waukesha County in Waukesha, WI.
