Command Sergeant Major Kevin J. Greene hails from the 85th Support Command where he previously served as the Operation Sergeant Major in the office of the G-3/7 operations and training, 85th Support Command based in Arlington Heights, Illinois from 2007 to Present.
Command Sergeant Major Greene is a native of Illinois. He graduated John F. Kennedy High School in Chicago, Illinois. He immediately enlisted in the United States Active Army on October 12th, 1977 and attended basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Knox Kentucky. Upon completion he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty 19Z, Armor Crewman.
Command Sergeant Major Greene has served in a variety of leadership and staff assignments including the First Sergeant for Charlie Company 1/337, 85th Division Training; Charlie Company, 1/339 84th Division Training; and Alpha Company, 17th PSYOP Battalion from 1990 through 1998. From 1999 through 2007, he served as the Command Sergeant Major for the 17th PSYOP Battalion, the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion and the 2-337th Training Support Battalion.
Command Sergeant Major Greene’s military education includes the Armor Crewmen Course, the Basic Infantry Course, the Lithographer Course, the Basic Non-commissioned and Advanced Non-commissioned Officer’s Course, the Drill Sergeant Course, the First Sergeant’s Course, and the U.S.A. Sergeants Major Academy.
Command Sergeant Major Greene He and his wife JoAnn are the proud parents of Kevin, Alyssa and Elizabeth. They have resided in Mokena, Illinois for the last 20 years. Sergeant Major has worked as a Military Technician since 1994 in various positions. He is currently serving as the Staff Officer Training Specialist (SOTS) for the 85th Support Command based in Arlington Heights, Illinois from 2007 to Present.
