Brigadier General Peter A. Bosse joined the U.S. Army in 1980 and graduated from the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Michigan State University in June 1984 and he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. COL Bosse received a Bachelors degree in Retail Marketing
Management from Michigan State University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Business Administration from Northcentral University.
Currently serving as the Deputy Program Manager/Chief of Staff for OPM-FSF, COL Bosse has commanded units at many levels during his career including the 842nd QM Company in Kansas City, KS; Base Camp Commander for Camp Udairi, Kuwait with the 19th ASG (P); 213th Quartermaster Battalion in Wausau, WI; the 208th Regional Support Group at Fort Jackson, SC, the 101st Sustainment Brigade (Provisional), Fort Campbell, KY and 1st Group/3rd Brigade/75th Training Division (MC) in Chicago, IL.
Other assignments include: Telecom Center Officer with the 156th Signal Battalion, Michigan National Guard; Plans Officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics with the 89th Army Reserve Command; Transportation Officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics with the 125th Army Reserve Command; Supply Management Officer for the 6th Materiel Management Center (MMC); Automation Management Officer for the 19th MMC; Director of Logistics for Camp Anaconda, Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom) while assigned to the 19th ASG (P); upon redeployment COL Bosse was assigned as the Executive Officer, 19th MMC; he also served as the Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer (EPLO) for Michigan including time as the ARNORTH liaison to NORTHCOM for President Ford’s Funeral; and as Deputy Commander for Regional Joint Task Force Alpha (H1N1) under the 200th Military Police Command.
His decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), the Army Achievement Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Action Badge, and the Air Assault Badge. COL Bosse is a Distinguished Member of the Quartermaster Regiment and was awarded the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
Brigadier General Bosse and his wife Helen reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
