Ms. Andrea M. Breyton was commissioned through the Reserve Officers Training Corps at Syracuse University, N.Y. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from LeMoyne College in Syracuse. Her military education includes the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, the Quartermaster Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, and Command and General Staff Officer Course.
Prior to being the CXO of the 79th Sustainment Support Command in Los Alamitos, Calif., she served as the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC) at Fort Belvoir, Va. Prior to that she served as the Supervisory Logistics Management Officer for the 104th Institutional Training Division in Vancouver, Wash. and deployed as the Chief of the USARC G4 Forward, 3rd Army, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Breyton began her Military Technician career as a Management Analyst for the 104th Division in Vancouver, Wash.
Her military career began as the Maintenance Officer for the 3rd Bn 389th Regiment, 98th Division in Syracuse. She then was the Headquarters and Headquarters Company Supply Officer, Training Officer and Executive Officer for the HHC, 104th Division, Vancouver, Wash. She later served as Maintenance Control Officer in the 164th Maintenance Company, Los Alamitos, Calif., then was selected for command of the 361st Heavy Materiel Supply Company, Garden Grove, Calif. She later served as the S4, 476th Chemical Battalion in Seattle, Wash. and commanded a second time for the 349th Chemical Company in Seattle. She then served as the S1 (Human Resources Officer) for the 174th Corps Support Group in Seattle, and then served as the S4 (Supply Officer), 3rd Bn, 4th Bde (FE), 91st Div. (Exercise), Tumwater, Wash.
She then rejoined the 104th Division as their Officer in Charge at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif. for all TASS (The Army School System Training Center) operations. She then served as the Force Management and Strategic Plans Officer for the 104th Division HQs before being selected as Commander, 8th – 104th Battalion (Quartermaster). Upon her redeployment from Kuwait, she served as the G4, 104th Division. She then served as the G4 and the G1 at the MIRC. She has most recently been appointed as the G4, 79th Sustainment Support Command.
Breyton’s awards and decorations include the Superior Civilian Service Award, Meritorious Service Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Achievement Medal for Civilian Service, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal with One Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with One Silver Hourglass, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M-Device, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Army Reserve Overseas Training Ribbon with Two Oak Leaf Clusters.
