Veterans Day message from the Army Reserve Command Sergeant Major

Veterans Day is the day the American people set aside for honoring the sacrifice of men and women, past and present, who’ve served our Nation in uniform.

Since our nation’s founding, American service members have fought bravely and effectively in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. Each veteran stepped
forward to safeguard liberty for future generations. Their service and sacrifice, we will never forget!
Today, our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen wear the uniform with profound strength, dedication and resolve like the brave actions of our veterans throughout history. Likewise, their families’ selfless sacrifice and continued support make it possible to get back in the fight for freedom.
And so, let us resolve never to stop trying to build that better world for which our veterans, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen have sacrificed. Let us all draw strength from their long legacy of service.
May God bless you, the United States and United States Army Reserve.
