Soldier Spotlight: Spc. Alex Lozada, ​US Army Reserve-Puerto Rico

Hobbies and Interests: I like baseball and spending time with my wife and kids.

Favorite Color: Red
When I get home? I can’t wait to hold my new born son for the first time.
What is your background? I am a credit accountant for Citibank, and I have three kids.
What are some of your accomplishments? One of my accomplishments has been finishing my house back in Puerto Rico.
Why did you join the military? I joined the military because I wanted to do my part in protecting my country and to excel in a military career.
How would you describe your tour of duty? It was interesting witnessing the cultural differences between the citizens of Afghanistan and me. Further, I was able to complete the mission that was given to me in a professional manner.
What position (s) do you hold-areas of responsibilities? I work at visitation as an escort, where I am responsible for providing security and ensuring proper movement of visitors.
What are some of your professional goals while serving in the military? I want to become a great leader, one that Soldiers can look up to and trust.
What has your experience been like with the 301st MP Co? Being in the 301st has been a great experience. The 301st gave me the opportunity and responsibilities to improve my skills in the military.
Please express and include anything else you would like to share about yourself: During this deployment, I would say that I have built up a lot of experience towards my military career. Working side-by-side with my teammates has really helped me to improve my skills as a leader. There would not be anyone else I would have liked to have worked with than the teammates I am currently assigned with.
