VICKSBURG, Miss. – Family members and local leaders honored Soldiers of the 412th Theater Engineer Command with a Welcome Home Warrior Citizen Ceremony at the unit's headquarters in Vicksburg, on Oct. 16, 2009.
"I am very honored to be here today to welcome home a group of outstanding American heroes who were called to duty to selflessly serve their country." said. Maj. Gen. Paul F. Hamm, 412th TEC commander during his keynote address.
The returning Soldiers deployed to Iraq in April, 2008 where they were responsible for reconstructing the country's sewage treatment plants and electrical infrastructure.
