Jack Stultz, visited the Joint Logistics Command - Haiti, April 5, during a one-day tour to the earthquake-ravaged country. PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - The Joint Network Node team of the 529th Network Support Company from Fort Sill, Okla., was deployed in support of Operation Unified Response, the humanitarian aid/disaster relief effort for earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Its mission is to set up and maintain a communications backbone for the Joint Logistics Command-Haiti mission recently taken over by the 377th Theater Sustainment Command from Belle Chasse, La., in February. PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - U.S. Army Forces Command ordered the 56th Multi-Functional Medical Battalion, out of Fort Lewis, Wash., to deploy in support of Operation Unified Response. It would serve as the command and control element for Joint Task Force-Haiti's medical task force and be aligned under the Joint Logistics Command-Haiti (manned by the 377th Theater Sustainment Command from Belle Chasse, La.).

PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI-- The Undersecretary of the Army, the Hon. Joseph W. Westphal, along with Lt. Gen. Ken Keen, commander of Joint Task Force-Haiti, paid a visit March 18, to Joint Logistics Command-Haiti to speak with service members deployed in support of Operation Unified Response, the humanitarian aid/ disaster relief effort in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

One hundred and sixty-eight U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 377th Theater Sustainment Command headquartered out of Belle Chasse, La., landed at Toussaint L'Ouverture Airport in Port-au-Prince Feb. 28, to support Operation Unified Response, the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief effort in Haiti.

Mission
The The 377th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) provides split-based operational level combat support (CS) and combat service support (CSS) to the United States Army, other United States forces (as directed) and multi-national coalition forces (based on agreements). It's wartime mission includes supporting units located in or passing through the TSC Area of Responsibility (AOR), manage rear area operations, and to provide backup support for Corps and Army divisions.
