Constituted 13 February 1953 in the Army Reserve as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 335th Signal Group, and assigned to Third Army (later redesignated to Third United States Army).
Activated 28 February 1953 in Atlanta, GA
Reorganized and redesignated 31 March 1955 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 335th Signal Group.
Ordered into active military service 15 October 1961 and reorganized in Atlanta, GA.
Released 13 August 1962 from active military service at Fort Gordon, GA, and reverted to reserve status.
Location change 19 April 1971 to East Point, GA
Relieved 1 October 1984 from assignment to the First United States Army and assigned to the Second United States Army.
Redesignated 16 October 1984 as Headquarters Company, 335th Signal Brigade.
Relieved 1 October 1985 from assignment to Second United States Army and assigned to the Third United States Army.
Redesignated 19 April 1986 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 335th Signal Command.
Mobilized continuously as an Enduring Unit Since October 2001, and deployed as the 335th Theater Signal Command (Forward) at Camp Doha and Arifjan, Kuwait in the US Central Command AOR.
Designated an Operational and Functional Command 1 October 2006. Awarded the Global War on Terror Campaign Credit August 2005 to August 2006. Awarded Global War on Terror Campaign Credit August 2005 to August 2006. Awarded Meritorious Unit Citation for the period of 15 July 2005 to 14 July 2006. |
