The Army Reserve Best Warrior competition will be held at Fort McCoy, Wis. June 19-24, 2011.
This is the fifth year in a row the Army Reserve is holding a competition to determine who the top Non-Commissioned Officer and junior enlisted Soldier is among the 206,000 Citizen-Soldiers serving at home and around the world.
Winners from this competition will represent the Army Reserve Command at the Department of the Army Best Warrior competition, later this year at Fort Lee, Va.
In 2008, then Spc. David Obray, the Army Reserve Soldier of the Year, went on to win the coveted Department of the Army title, defeating 11 other junior enlisted Soldiers representing commands from across the Army.

Army Reserve Best Warrior Awards Banquet
This year's awards banquet will be held at the American Legion Post in Sparta, Wis. starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24. The post is located on Hwy. 21 between Fort McCoy and Sparta.
This will be a world class awards banquet. Seating limited to competitors and one guest, Two-Star Commanding Generals and their Command Sergeants Major, Best Warrior Advisory Council and Committee Members, selected USARC civilian and staff personnel.
