Story by Spc. Michael Bender
July 7, 2010

The 619th Transportation Company from Auburn, Maine, returned from a year-long deployment in Iraq where they transported heavy equipment and provided security for coalition forces. This was the second deployment to Iraq for the 619th TC.

They also logged 600,000 miles driving on Iraq roads in military vehicles as part of supply convoys or providing security for these convoys. Approximately 170 soldiers returned home from theater without incident.
