Service Member-Employees also receive background checks, medical screening and aptitude testing, which can help employers save on recruiting and screening costs.

Service members provide the necessary qualified and trained human capital needed to fill a variety of positions. Through their experience in the Armed Forces, they acquire abilities in management, leadership, project execution, team building and strategic planning and many more necessary skills that enrich the workplaces of our Employer Partners.

Overall, the employment of service members is a positive return on investment for our Partners.

For Service Members

Service Members Get Two Careers – one with the military, and the other with one of our Employer Partners.  Through the Employer Partnership Office, service members have access to job openings with military-friendly employers in various industries across the country.  EPO field representatives are also available to help service members achieve their civilian and military career goals.

Service members can gain a competitive advantage over other job hunters.  Employer Partners know that service members come to them after having undergone rigorous training and challenging experiences.  In addition, depending on the military training received, service members may have applicable credentialing and licensing needed to begin work immediately.  Since the leadership abilities and team-building skills you’ve honed in the military are hard to replicate in the civilian world, service members enjoy another advantage over other job seekers who may not receive the same continual professional development opportunities.

Current Reserve service members, prospective recruits and Active Component service members who are considering their career options will gain expanded job opportunities, additional platforms for advancement and greater stability, resume advice and career counseling, thereby enhancing both military and civilian careers.

The Employer Partnership Office job search engine is easy to use, and will give service members another tool to help them achieve their civilian career goals.  Among the list of nearly 500 Employer Partners you’ll find Fortune 500 companies in career fields such as health care, law enforcement and public safety, transportation and logistics, information technology, telecommunications, human resources and other exciting industries.

For the Army Reserve

The Employer Partnership Office Allows the Army Reserve to Assist its Soldiers - in maximizing their unique skills and training and providing them with an array of employment opportunities. Ensuring stability in the civilian lives of Soldiers is a vital element in sustaining the All-Volunteer Operational Force for the future.

Employer partnerships that provide Soldiers with such stability are fundamental to the Army Reserve’s ability to be a flexible, dynamic force, adept at meeting the challenges of today’s threats, cyclical rotations and high operational tempo.

The Army Reserve also benefits from the vast knowledge and experience its Soldiers gain in the civilian workforce. The specialized expertise and skills they bring from their civilian careers to the force are vital to the success of nation-building, humanitarian missions and supporting the ongoing contingencies around the world.
