Command Sgt. Maj. retired Douglas Gibbens receives the Sgt. Maj. of the Army William G. Bainbridge award for his service and dedication to America and the Army Reserve during Association of the United States Army's opening ceremony at the Walter E. Gibbens served in the Army and Army Reserve for 35 years, retired in 2001, is a former Army Reserve ambassador for Indiana and is an AUSA senior fellow.
