ADAPT and overcome

U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers attend Agricultural Development for Armed Forces (ADAPT) pre-deployment training with representatives from the Jordan College of Agriculture at Fresno State University, in Fresno, CA, in an undated photo. Recently, ADAPT training was held where over 130 personnel from U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, U.S. Army Pacific, the 9th Mission Support Command and it’s 322nd Civil Affairs Brigade, and units under the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) footprint, including the 350th Civil Affairs Command, the 351st Civil Affairs Command, the 352nd Civil Affairs Command, and the 353rd Civil Affairs Command. ADAPT training is an integral part of 38G(6U), Civil Affairs training to prepare Soldiers to perform international rural development missions while deployed.

IRT is a joint training concept that the Department of Defense (DOD) implemented to increase unit deployment readiness, leveraging the military contributions of U.S. Armed Forces capabilities, combined with local resources to build strong civil-military partnerships for communities in the contiguous United States and its territories.
