MG Hackett visits 5th BN, 94th TNG DIV during time of transition February 14, 2018 — Maj. Gen. Bruce Hackett, commanding general of the 80th Training Command (TASS), and Brig. Gen. Hector Lopez, the commanding general of the 94th Training Division, travelled to Puerto Rico recently to celebrate the relocation and reopening of the 94th's 5th Battalion's new schoolhouse at Fort Buchanan after Hurricane Maria demolished the battalion's old training facility. The celebration was somewhat bittersweet, though, as Hackett and Lopez were also on the island to assist with the planned transition and approved reassignment of all units stationed in Puerto Rico to the operational control of the 1st Mission Support Command. Soldier risks her life, earns Soldier’s Medal September 29, 2017 — FORT KNOX, Ky. - Saving lives is nothing new to Sgt. 1st Class Alicia Hofmann. As an Army Reserve medic, she saved lives while deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. As a civilian registered nurse, she has cared for patients and saved many lives in medical-surgical nursing, oncology, cardiology, and psychiatry. But, on Oct. 4, 2014, her life-saving skills were tested by fire, literally, earning her the coveted Soldier’s Medal. MORE
