364th ESC SASMO technical assistance improves equipment readiness

By Maj. Maryjane Porter 364th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary)

Training personnel from the Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO) of the 364th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) provided valuable hands-on training to communication specialists of the 652nd Regional Support Group in Helena, Montana, in an effort to increase equipment readiness and to ensure assigned personnel are trained and ready to meet mission requirements.

During three days training, Chief Warrant Officer 3 James Randazzo of the 364th ESC assisted the unit to ensure VSAT and CAISI equipment are mission capable, upgraded VSAT and CAISI laptops to Windows 10, inspected all VSAT and CAISI equipment for serviceability and trained operators to standard on the set-up, operation and teardown of equipment.

"I was very satisfied on the success of this staff assistance visit and upgrade. Soldiers worked hard on grasping the cumbersome job of setting up the VSAT," said Randazzo, noting that they were highly motivated and took ownership of maintaining their equipment.
