On 11 Nov, The National World War I Museum & Memorial hosted a Veterans Day program for the public in Kansas City, MO.
COL Norma J. Bradford (Assistant Chief of Staff, Army Reserve Affairs, Fort Leavenworth, KS) delivered the keynote address to crowd of over 300 in attendance.
COL Bradford shared the stage with 17th District, Missouri Senator, Ryan Silvey, Kanas City Mayor, Mayor Sly James and the U.S. Representative for the Fifth District Missouri, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II and other dignitaries.
COL Bradford shared with the crowd what a Veteran is, the sacrifices they made and continuously make, how cities & the country should celebrate Veterans, the importance of family and community support, shared some of her personal experiences and asked the crowd to always remember the two words that Veterans value the most, “THANK YOU”!
