Convoy Operations During WAREX at Fort McCoy
Army reserve soldiers conduct convoy security training as part of WAREX 86-21-02 exercise held at Fort McCoy WI facilitated by the 86th Training Division. Convoy security training is a necessary component to advance the Soldiers ability to maneuver, communicate, and survive enemy attacks while conducting convoy operations; convoy security training simulates attack severity ranging from small arms to chemical attacks. WAREX is an annual training event integrating both combat support and combat service support assets to train United States Army Reserve Soldiers. The exercise facilitates opportunities to proactively handle real-world scenarios with competency in infantry tactics, defensive posture, convoy operations, communication planning and security.
