Learning from the past to ensure victory in the future
H. Allen Skinner, the command historian for the 81st Regional Support Command (RSC), explains the tactical lessons to be learned from the mistakes that were made during the Battle of Guilford County Courthouse, whose site is now a National Park located in Greensboro, N.C., during a staff ride taken by the staff sections and Soldiers of the 108th Training Command (IET) on Feb 6. The staff rides are training events used by staff members of the unit to learn important lessons from the past in order to ensure success in future conflicts. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Javier Amador)
