88TH RSC dedicates plaque in honor of Blue Devil’s 100 years of serving

Members of the Iowa National Guard fold the U.S. flag while conducting Retreat as the 88th Regional Support Command dedicates a plaque at Camp Dodge, Iowa on May 25, in honor of the 88th Infantry Division's beginning there in 1917. During the Command Retreat, Airmen, Soldiers, and Civilians are recognized by Maj. Gen. Timothy Orr, Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, for their contributions to the Guard and their communities, state and nation.

Quartermaster unit turns lake water drinkable

Zhixin Wang with the 810th Quartermaster Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, place a hose for a Reverse-Osmosis Water Purification Unit into Big Sandy Lake on May 10, 2017, during operations for the 86th Training Division’s Warrior Exercise 86-17-02 at Fort McCoy, Wis. The Warrior Exercise provides unique training opportunities for various Soldiers in various military occupation specialties to train together on simulated combat missions and to work together as a team, just like they would in a real-world environment. Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) Jane Decker, the last division personnel sergeant major for the 98th Training Division (Initial Entry Training), looks back at her unit photo from basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. in 1974. Decker was originally part of the Women’s Army Corps. A few years later, Decker transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve and served over 40 years as a Citizen-Soldier. 98th Training Division JAG Selected as Military Judge

Army Reserve Lt. Col. Robert J. Gleason, the judge advocate general for the 98th Training Division (Initial Entry Training), was recently selected by the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General to become a military judge. In his civilian capacity, Gleason is the Assistant U.S. Attorney in Charolette, N.C., where he also resides. The Citizen-Soldier has served in the Army Reserve for 25 years and said he looks forward to his new position as a military judge. “What can be better than representing the United States of America, and have the opportunity to do that every day, and have the opportunity to do the right thing. 993rd Transportation Company works with Canadians to increase readiness
