  Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5) Matthew S. Brenner is currently serving as the Command Chief Warrant Officer and the Senior Health Services Maintenance Advisor to 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support).  As the Command Chief Warrant Officer, he serves as the advisor to the Commanding General for all warrant officer matters and acts as mentor for the warrant officers within the Command.  As the Senior Health Service Maintenance Advisor, CW5 Brenner advises the Command on all maintenance matters throughout the Command.  He is responsible for coordinating policy regarding both ground and medical maintenance activities.

 

  CW5 Brenner enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserve as a Private on December 26, 1985, and was assigned to the 21st General Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.  He promptly became a medical maintenance technician for the 21st General Hospital and has held increasing levels of responsibilities both enlisted and as a warrant officer throughout his military career of more than 29 years.  In December 1990, he mobilized and deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm as a Biomedical Equipment Specialist.  In February 2003, he mobilized and deployed to Afghanistan as the Theater Medical Maintenance Officer in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  In January 2013, he mobilized and deployed a third time to Qatar as the Chief, Medical Maintenance Management Division, U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center-Southwest Asia.  His assignments include duty with the 452nd Combat Support Hospital, the 410th Medical Logistics Support Company, the 308th Medical Logistics Company, the Central Medical Area Readiness Support Group, the 330th Medical Brigade, the Command Chief Warrant Officer for ARMEDCOM, and the Senior Health Services Maintenance Advisor to USARC G4.

 

  CW5 Brenner holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, and an Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Technologies.  He was the distinguished honor graduate of Warrant Officer Candidate School. He has completed the Medical Logistics Officer’s course and is a graduate of the Warrant Officer Senior Service Education.

 

  CW5 Brenner’s military decorations and awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. CW5 Brenner has been inducted into the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit.
