COL Gregory C. Glasow

Chief of Staff, 79th Theater Sustain Command

COL Glasow enlisted in the Infantry in 1992 with the United States Army Reserve. In 1995, he commissioned in the Regular Army as a Second Lieutenant of Aviation through the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at Colorado State University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology and History from Colorado State University, a Master’s of Business Administration from Thunderbird School of International Management, and a Master’s of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. Glasow’s Regular Army assignments include Aeroscout Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, and Assistant S3, 1-10 Cavalry Squadron, Ft. Hood, TX; Assistant G-3 Air, 1st Armored Division/1st Cavalry Division, Tuzla, Bosnia-Herzegovina; Squadron S1, Troop Commander, and Squadron Assistant S3, 1-4 Cavalry, Schweinfurt, Germany; Assistant Military Instructor, University of Rhode Island ROTC, Kingston, RI.

Later, with the United States Army Reserve, he served as an Observer Controller Trainer (Logistics), 75th Training Division, Phoenix, AZ; Battalion SPO, 313 Movement Control Battalion, Baltimore, MD and Bagram, Afghanistan; Exercise Project Officer and Chief Observer Controller Trainer, 1st Brigade, Pacific Training Division (75th TD), Garden Grove, CA; Brigade S3, 1-91 Operations Brigade, Scottsdale, AZ; Battalion Commander, 336 CSSB, Buckeye, AZ and Taji, Iraq; Deputy G37/Project Officer and later Chief of Staff, 91 Training Division (Operations), Ft. Hunter Liggett, CA . His last assignment was as the Brigade Commander of the 2nd Brigade, 91st Training Division out of Denver, Colorado. He now serves as the Chief of Staff for the 79th Theater Sustainment Command in Los Alamitos, CA.

His overseas deployments include Division Assistant G3 Air, 1st Armored Division/1st Cavalry Division, Tuzla, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Support Operations Officer, 313 Movement Control Battalion, Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, and Battalion Commander, 336 CSSB, Taji, Iraq.

COL Glasow is a graduate of the Aviation Officer Basic Course, Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Qualification Course, the Aviation Officer Advanced Course, Air Assault School, Intermediate Level Education and Advanced Operations Warfighting Course, the Logistics Support Operations Course, and the United States Army War College.

COL Glasow’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal(with one oak leaf cluster), the Meritorious Service Medal (with three oak leaf clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), National Defense Service Medal (with 1 oak leaf cluster), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M device, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Distinguished Unit Award, Aviation Qualification Badge, Air Assault Badge.

COL Glasow lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Dr. Rebecca Weiss-Glasow and their two children Julia and Ian. He is currently employed as a Military Technician serving as the Senior Staff Advisor (SSA), 1st Brigade, 91TD, Glendale, AZ.
