Wisconsin Army Reserve Engineers Load for Deployment to the Middle East

FORT McCOY, Wis. - Members of two U.S. Army Reserve engineer companies rail-load their vehicles for the journey to a port on the east coast. From there, they begin their long voyage to the Middle East. In the weeks ahead, Soldiers from the 327th Vertical Construction Company, from Onalaska, Wis., and the 996th Engineer Construction Company, from Milwaukee, Wis., will join their equipment in the Middle East. The units will support operations in theater by building and maintaining roads, bridges, buildings, utilities and conducting other engineering tasks.
